A Hidden Epidemic of Injustice

Every year, thousands of people across the UK lose life-changing sums of money to corporate financial crime. From pension mismanagement to high-level fraud, these crimes devastate not only bank balances but entire futures—wiping out savings, security, and trust.

For too long, victims have been left to navigate the aftermath alone, facing not just financial hardship but deep emotional and psychological trauma. While support exists for victims of individual fraudsters, there has been no dedicated national service for those harmed by corporations—until now. Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation) was created to change that.

From Ignored Pleas to Strong Legal Case

"Through the Transparency Task Force I was introduced to Steve, whose knowledge and experience became vital in strengthening my case. He spent hours scrutinising my correspondence, professionally reformatting and refining it so that authorities who had previously ignored me began to respond. Steve identified crucial evidence I had overlooked, encouraged me to keep pushing forward, and never gave up on me despite my lack of technical skills. His advice and dedication directly contributed to a UK lawyer taking on my case on a no-win-no-fee basis. Steve is a kind-hearted person who only wants the best for everyone, and I am deeply grateful for his unwavering support in my fight for justice." – Gary Wrighton

Brian H

“I would encourage anybody who’s going through a difficult time as a result of financial malfeasance to give this course a go and see it through to the end. It’s very insightful, very useful — you’ll learn different methods, tools, and techniques that help you through difficult decision-making. You’ll meet others in similar situations, all pulling together. It’s a very enlightening and encouraging environment.”

What People Say

It was the existential psychologist Rollo May who described depression as “the inability to construct a future.” He posited that when a person is unable to imagine a future where they can truly live out their passions, they experience a deep helplessness that can develop into depression.

What TTF Says

Andy Agathangelou leads the fast-growing and increasingly impactful Transparency Task Force, a collaborative, campaigning community that encourages the financial services sector to be transparent, truthful and trustworthy. Connect on LinkedIn.

Published in association with the Transparency Task Force, this work aligns with our shared mission to promote greater transparency, accountability, and integrity across the financial services sector. Together, we advocate for systems that serve the public interest, empower individuals with clear and honest information, and drive meaningful reform to build a fairer financial future for all.

⚖️ Responsible Use of AI in Advocacy

In light of a High Court’s recent warning on the misuse of AI in legal proceedings, we want to make our position clear:

At Get SAFE, we never use AI to generate legal citations or advice.

Our tools are designed to support victims of financial crime by helping them organise evidence, understand rights, and communicate clearly—not to provide legal representation.

We strictly avoid fabrications, and all users are encouraged to verify facts through trusted legal sources or seek regulated legal advice where necessary.

AI can be a powerful force for good—but only when used transparently, ethically, and with human judgment. That’s the standard we uphold.
